Ballerina-Inspired Valentine’s Day
Soaking in the last few months where Sadie will actually let me style her. If she's anything like her big sister Naiya, I have six months or less before she refuses to wear the outfits I pick out. Naturally, I'm taking full advantage! Sharing Valentine's Day-inspired mother daughter looks today with ALL the pink ballerina vibes. Sadie and I left the house for once to get some fresh air outside of our quarantine bubble. I masked up and took her out on a beautiful walk in Beverly Hills wearing tulle. I SO miss exploring Los Angeles and traveling and this walk was the perfect medicine. Along the way, we pretended to have breakfast at Tiffany's but really it was a Bamba snack party on the go because...2021.
Galentine's Day Outfits
I've never loved Valentine's Day as much as I do this year. It was special when Naiya was little (one of our fave posts ever here) but having two minis to celebrate with is the best. After work each night this week, I've sat down with the girls to make Valentine's Day cards and we've been doing a bunch of fun heart-inspired arts and crafts. After the year everyone has had, somehow it's the little things that are getting us through!
As for outfit details, Sadie is wearing one of my favorite dresses we've ever featured here. It's super affordable and it's made beautifully. Linking to it here, as well as a few other tulle baby/toddler dresses we're loving below. My tulle skirt is also a steal (under $40!) but it's super soft and looks more expensive than it is in my opinion. Today, I paired it with my favorite basic white tee that has an adjustable front knot. It's currently on sale for just $15.20 and it's one of the most versatile tops I own. Linking to this white one as well as a number of other colors I'm loving below.I topped off the look by layering the cutest pink sweatshirt (similar here) by Kamala Harris' niece's company, Phenomenal. The whole line is incredible because it's fully inclusive and each piece empowers women, minorities and all shapes and sizes. This particular sweatshirt says "per my last email." This feels very on-brand and relevant to me in this era of working from home during COVID so I had to have it. I paired it with this silk mask which I recently shared more about here because it's keeping my skin "maskne" or breakout-free. I also wore my fave basic neutral heels because I was feeling fancy for five minutes (and brought sneakers with me too just in case). Photography: Azusa Takano
