Levis Ribcage Denim Review

Levis Ribcage Denim Review

Sharing a look today which I've been wearing on repeat whenever it dips below 60 degrees here in LA. After 15 years of living in LA from New York, my blood has definitely thinned. The college version me who walked to and from Syracuse University's campus in sub-zero weather would be judging me heavily right now. Anyway, obsessing over these ribcage straight ankle Levis and cozy neutral sweater combo. My love for basic neutrals continues in 2022 as I continue working from home. Today, I'm sharing a review about these jeans since I've been living in them but sizing can be tricky.

Levis Ribcage Straight Anke Review

I'm a big fan of Levis denim in general so naturally, when I first saw their Ribcage line, I knew I had to try them. They're Levi's highest-waisted denim and just like their namesake, they literally go up to your ribcage. I love that they go over your bellybutton because they're so fun to style with crop tops.

I scooped up a pair of the straight ankle style denim. The first thing I noticed is that these jeans had a button fly. I know some people can't stand button flies and prefer zippers. One thing to note is that if you do go for this style, this button fly may change the size you want to purchase. I found that these pants run on the smaller size as compared to other Levis (501, Wedgie, etc). You may want to size up if you're looking for a comfier fit.

That said, the material does have some stretch to it so after a few wears, they stretch out a bit and mold beautifully to your body.If you want them to mold to your body quicker, put them on, fill a squirt bottle with water, spritz the pants in the areas where they're feeling a bit tight and move around. When they dry, they should feel more comfortable.Additionally, if you're on the petite side like I am, these pants definitely go past my ankles and run longer than they're supposed to.

That said, I really like this cut and didn't want to go with a petite size. Levis comes in petite, regular and long lengths so they're versatile for all heights. Since the waist on these is so high, I bet they'd look especially great on women with long torsos which I definitely don't have! As a short-waisted person, as much as I love these jeans, they may be a bit too high if I am not styling them with a crop top. [show_shopthepost_widget id="4679958"]
