Everlane Trench Coat Review
I've been on the hunt for a classic, versatile trench coat for a while now. Truth be told, I've had classic Burberry trench coats in various virtual shopping carts for way too long. I ALMOST plugged the trigger this past Black Friday but with a price tag of almost $2500, I wasn't ready to commit.
Trench coats are such timeless pieces and I love that they add an extra chic layer to any outfit without being too heavy. For this reason, they're perfect for Los Angeles in colder months and they're also lightweight for travel.
Instead of splurging on an expensive trench, I recently decided to go with this Everlane version called the "Long Mac Coat" in toasted coconut. It has a much easier to digest price point of $178.00 and also comes in black which is so chic! Reviewing this coat today and sharing some recent shots of me wearing it when I was running after my kids. I'm pleased to say, it holds up well with lots of movement!
Everlane Long Mac Coat Review
If you're in the market for a long trench but are hoping to stay within a reasonable budget, this Everlane trench is for you. It runs true to size but is cut to be oversized which I love. Unlike traditional trench coats, it doesn't come with a belt to cinch the waist. Instead, you wear it open and flowy.
I love the detailing at the top of the coat that creates an extra layer of material. The buttons on the coat are dark brown, almost black, so it generally looks great with either black or brown.
Today, I paired it with Everlane basic pieces I've been living in. I'm obsessed with these white boots. They're made of the softest Italian leather that doesn't have to be worn in for comfort. I also love this basic black crewneck sweatshirt which I'm eyeing in all the colors. I tucked it into the cutest high-waisted yellow pants which also come in other fun colors (here and here)..
