How to Style an Office “Uniform”

I've officially been back at work for over a week since maternity leave ended and it's been such a whirlwind! From long nights nursing Sadie and comforting Naiya to pumping at the office every three hours, this mama is tired! When I wake up in the mornings completely groggy, the last thing I want to do is spend too much time picking out my outfits.

That said, since I still want to look put together for the office, I've been mixing and matching basics to create a fool-proof office "uniform." This has been saving me so much time and energy, I wanted to share with you some of my favorite basic pieces of the moment. The best part? They're currently on sale in a variety of colors which I'm linking to below.

1) The Turtleneck

The first staple of my office uniform is a basic turtleneck. Today, I'm wearing this green one by Madewell. It happens to be on sale in three different colors for $25.00!It pairs so well with anything and everything--moto jackets, blazers, skirts, etc.I also have the same top in black and I'm eyeing it in gray. It's so soft, washes beautifully and is the perfect basic to pair with your favorite pair of denim.

2) The Moto Jacket

I truly believe a classic moto jacket is a staple every woman should have in her closet. It's the perfect layering piece that adds a dash of extra edge to any outfit.I love classic leather moto jackets because they last so long. I also love vegan leather options because they can be so affordable. I bought this leather moto jacket at least five years ago and I love that it only keeps getting better with age.

3) White Booties

I've had so many pairs of black booties over the years, it's hard to count. This season, I've switched it up and now this chic white pair is my go-to. This particular pair is by Marc Fisher and they're on sale right now in a number of different colors--cheetah, black, blue suede, etc.

These booties have the perfect high but not too-high heel. I've worn them to work for over 8 hours straight without any foot pain.I also love that they tie my look together and help make it feel a bit more edgy without being too trendy.

4) The Perfect Vintage Jean & Hairband

I've been on a quest for the perfect pair of black denim jeans that have a flattering vintage fit to them. I can't rave enough about this particular pair by Madewell because they check ALL of the boxes.

I love their high waist, comfortability and length.I topped off today's work uniform with one of my favorite headbands of the moment. It comes in a pack of anywhere from 1-4 and it costs only about 5 dollars apiece!
