Summer Hat Edit in the Adirondacks
In my 30's, it's all about protecting my skin! Growing up, my mom slathered sunscreen on us constantly but in college, I definitely enjoyed a good beach day here and there, hoping to get tan. Big mistake…huge. I look back on that time and feel so upset with myself!
Now, I live in hats throughout the summer months (and as much as I can throughout the year too). Rounding up my faves of the moment at all different price points along with some shots of the fam galavanting around the beautiful Sagamore Resort in upstate New York's Adirondack Mountains.
Summer Hats I'm Loving
Sharing some of my fave hats of the moment above (which are all clickable). I love the look of this straw hat with the ribbon that can tie under the chin! So chic and effortless! If you're looking for a pop of color, this hat with coral ribbon pairs perfectly with bright color! I also love the visor look - choose between this one with light frayed edges or a darker edge.
Also, the black maxi dress I'm wearing in these photos has been my summer go-to. I snagged it from Amazon and it comes in a number of different colors--from tie die to khaki. It's super affordable too--$35.99! Sharing full outfit details below too.
Family Update:
Our family was on the east coast for the past month working remotely while we visited family and friends. As I've shared previously, we had a fire in our home the night before we moved in back in May (more here) and almost everything was a total loss. We needed to leave our home in order to get it fixed so that we could start fresh. The silver lining of this nightmare was having the chance to spend time with Phi's family in D.C. and then my family in Albany, New York. I even got to see my three grandparents, Naiya and Sadie's great grandparents. We soaked in every minute. After so many months apart throughout the Pandemic, hugging everyone in person felt like the most amazing gift. The east coast is also so gorgeous in the summer and we've never had a chance to spend so much time there since we were kids.
Sharing some photos today of our fam having so much fun running around the Sagamore Resort on Lake George in the Adirondacks. My Dad used to come here all the time on business trips growing up and he still does. I appreciate it even more now. The hotel is so picturesque with SO much history. It sits right on the lake and it's incredibly peaceful. These LA babies had the time of their lives!
