Wide Leg Denim + Vintage Chanel

This fall, I've been on the hunt for denim that feels more current. After all, Gen Z declared this year that skinny jeans are dead and since I'm determined to be a "cool" mom for at least a little bit longer, I didn't take this lightly! Since I've gone through two pregnancies over the past couple of years, denim trends have changed a lot!

Back when I had Naiya, skinny jeans were very much in and by the time I had Sadie, straight leg and wide leg denim became more on-trend. The struggle? Finding cute pairs that ACTUALLY fit. I've had a lot of trouble with sizing--especially since I'm self admittedly not the greatest online shopper.

With the Pandemic, I've been doing a lot more online ordering than actual shopping at stores but I SO miss actually trying on clothes in stores. Ordering to my door is convenient but just not the same! Today, I'm sharing a pair of denim I ended up falling in love with as well as an outfit I've been wearing on repeat this fall.

Outfit Of The Day

Today, I'm wearing a pair of cuffed jeans I scooped up from Zara. Zara is one of my all-time favorite stores because you can find such trendy pieces and basics at affordable price points. The drawbacks are that neither sizing nor quality are ever quite consistent. But the truth is, this rarely holds me back. For every piece from Zara that doesn't quite fit, I'll find a gem that keeps me coming back for more.

This pair of pants is that gem for me right now. I love the distressing at the knees, where these pants hit at the waist and I love that they feel so loose and comfy. Linking to some similar pairs of denim I'm also loving below.

Today, I paired a blush pink button down top with these jeans. I accessorized with pink feminine heels with a bow, 90's-inspired sunnies, gold vintage hoops, a vintage chanel bag, and I added a bow in my hair. I've been all about classic, feminine looks recently--especially after a year of quarantine.
